Best rides from Ixia
Old Town in the evening
Ten minutes along the coast road to the gates of the medieval city. Park by the walls, walk the Street of the Knights and ride back after dinner when the road is quiet.
Filerimos at golden hour
Through Ialyssos and up the signed road to the monastery, the Doric fountain and the tree-lined Way of the Cross, with a view over both coasts. Go around 18:00 when the coaches have left.
Cross to the east coast
Skip the pebbles: 25 minutes across the island brings you to Faliraki beach or the Kallithea Springs. Come back over the hill via Koskinou for the views.
Which vehicle for Ixia?
For Ixia we suggest the 300cc Explorer or 400cc Huracan as the default scooter: enough weight for the wind and enough speed for Lindos. The 125cc Alexone is fine if you mainly ride into Rhodes Town. For longer trips to Filerimos, the Butterfly Valley, Ancient Kamiros and the west coast, the 650cc ODESS is a comfortable, stable choice for exploring on the normal road network.
