Which scooter fits your trip?

The right engine size depends on how far you want to go, whether you ride alone or two-up, and which licence you hold. A quick guide:

  • Alexone 125cc — Rhodes town, Ixia, Faliraki and the Kallithea springs. Light, economical and the easiest to park. Requires a category A1 licence or higher.
  • Explorer 300cc — Day trips down the east coast to Lindos or across to the west coast. Windscreen and storage make longer rides relaxed.
  • Huracan 400cc — Two riders, luggage and the full length of the island. Highway-comfortable and stable in the afternoon wind on the west coast.

Scooter or ATV?

Three easy scooter rides

Rhodes has good asphalt along both coasts and quiet inland roads between villages. Start with these.

Old Town and the north tip

Mandraki harbour, the medieval walls, Elli beach and the aquarium at the northern point — then Ixia for the sunset. Perfect for the 125cc.

Faliraki – Kallithea – Anthony Quinn

Short hops between the springs of Kallithea, Faliraki beach and the small bays of Ladiko and Anthony Quinn. Plenty of parking for a scooter.

Coast road to Lindos

About 55 km each way from Rhodes town with Tsambika beach and Stegna on the way. Better on the 300cc or 400cc for the return in the afternoon wind.

What you need to rent

What licence do I need?
It depends on the vehicle. Scooters up to 125cc: category A1 licence (or higher). Scooters up to 300cc: category A2. Above 300cc (e.g. our Huracan 400cc): category A2 or A depending on the power. The ODESS 650cc ATV only needs a standard car licence (category B). Equivalent licences from other countries are accepted; non-EU visitors need an International Driving Permit alongside their national licence. The exact requirement is shown on each vehicle page.
Is there a minimum age?
Riders must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid licence. Some vehicles may have a higher minimum age; this is shown on the vehicle page.
Are helmets included?
Yes. Helmets for rider and passenger are included with every rental and wearing them is mandatory in Greece.

Pick-up in Rhodes

Choose your pick-up point when you book: our office, Rhodes Port, Rhodes Airport or your own address — hotel delivery and collection anywhere in Rhodes town is free, by appointment. Hand-over takes a few minutes: we go through the vehicle together, fit the helmets and you are on your way.

Which licence do I need for each scooter?

All three scooters have two seats. For two adults on longer rides we recommend the 300cc or 400cc.
