Faliraki Water Park day trip: how to get there by ATV and what else to see nearby
The Faliraki Water Park is one of the biggest water parks in Europe and the classic family day out on Rhodes. It sits right on the Faliraki strip, about 15 km south of Rhodes town, which makes it an easy and fun ride on a quad or scooter, and leaves you free to explore the coast afterwards.
The ride from Rhodes town
Take the east-coast road towards Faliraki; the park is signposted from the main junction. Allow 25 to 30 minutes. In July and August leave before 09:30 to beat both the heat and the traffic. Two-wheelers park close to the entrance, which is a real advantage on busy days.
Inside the park
Expect a mix of high-speed slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and shallow areas for small children, plus shaded lawns and snack bars. Plan for at least half a day; most families stay until mid-afternoon. Check opening dates and hours on the park's official website before you go, as the season usually runs from late spring to early autumn.
What to bring
- Swimwear, towels and water shoes for the hot walkways.
- High-factor sunscreen and a waterproof bag for phones and keys.
- A light change of clothes for the ride back; wet shorts and a scooter seat are not a great combination.
